Modern City Inn is a 9 Roomed Bungalow- the former residence of a popular family Doctor who owns a Private Hospital in Negombo.
It has been converted into a Home Stay unit. The Manager, his wife and daughter of 10yrs live there. They manage the inn with the help of four assistants. They communicate in English, Sinhala and Tamil.
The Inn is placed in a very quiet area- the entrance is from the Main Street- but about 50 yards away from the Street. It is the area where the largest and most popular Business establishments and Groceries are housed, all within a walking distance. The beautiful Beach front is only a one dollar ride away in a Tuk- Tuk or taxi. The Railway station and Bus Terminal are within walking distance from the Inn. It takes a 15-20 minutes ride by taxi from the Katunayake International Airport, Taking the Highway it takes only 30 minutes to go from the Inn to Sri Lanka Capital City of Colombo
There are Churches, Mosques, Hindu and Buddhist Temples close by.
The Rooms are large with attached toilets, air conditioned and with hot water, Television and Mini Bar. Breakfast is provided. Guests are provided with cooking facilities. Many restaurants are situated within walking distance where any type of food can be obtained. WIFI facility is available
Picking up guests from the airport or Taking them to the airport can be arranged. The staff will help guests to study the attractive tourist destinations of Sri Lanka and if necessary arrange guided tours.
We maintain a simple, homeley, friendly atmosphere. The Doctors in the Private Hospital owned by the Owner of the Inn provide free Medical Consultation and arrange appropriate Medical care to the resident guests.
